JW Hicks, Inc. is seeking General Laborers for our Merrillville, Indiana facility. You will operate mixers, cast or finish product, run ovens or kilns to dry and fire goods, and input data into an ERP system while maintaining material traces.

The position is Monday–Friday with some overtime on Saturdays, offers a hands-on, team-oriented environment, and opportunities for career growth. A high school diploma and physical/drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must pass post-off, pre-employment physical and drug screen
• On-the-job training provided

Requirements

Production Worker (Laborer) Job Responsibilities

• Operate mixers and add minor ingredients to prepare mixes for casting/pressing
• Cast, press or finish product
• Operate overs or kilns to dry and fire product
• Maintain raw material and product identification and record data into ERP system
• Operate forklifts and overhead crane to move materials and work in progress

Production Worker Qualifications

• Good "hands on" skills with reasonable mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout shift
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must pass a post-off, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment

Summary
