Job summary

Aerotek in Lakeville, MN is seeking a Press Operator to start immediately on a contract-to-hire basis. Responsible for setting up and operating press machines, reading prints, and ensuring parts meet specs. Onsite role with first shift, pay $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include material handling, tooling maintenance, and basic math to optimize production. Benefits and eligibility apply to this temporary role.

Press Operator Position | Start immediately | Weekly Pay! | Entry Level

Description:

• Set up and operate press machines and related equipment to produce parts according to prints and work orders.
• Inspect parts for defects and verify that finished products meet quality and specification standards.
• Read and interpret prints or work orders to determine part specifications, tooling requirements, and to plan operational sequences.
• Position, adjust, and secure material against stops, fixtures, or automatic feeders manually or with a forklift as needed.
• Set machine stops or guides to specified lengths using scales, rules, or templates to ensure precise cutting and forming.
• Clean tooling punches and maintain tooling components to support safe and efficient machine operation.
• Compute data such as machine settings, using shop mathematics to optimize production, including cutting multiple sheets at a time.
• Load finished materials into the packaging area and ensure proper handling of parts and products.

Pay:

• $17.00 to 18.00/hour

Shift:

• 1st shift: 7am-330pm M-F

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
