Mega Force Staffing Group seeks a dedicated cleaner to support the maintenance of our North Carolina facilities. The role involves cleaning manufacturing areas and adjacent spaces, operating floor-care machines, and handling equipment like sweepers and balers. Physical stamina and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities include restroom and breakroom upkeep, waste handling, and seasonal exterior cleaning. Overtime may be available to meet shift needs.

SUMMARY

Using teamwork and communication to execute the necessary cleaning of all facilities. Must be able to follow and give instructions. Operational 1st and 2nd shift with overtime available.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Related work experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean company manufacturing facilities and accompanying outside areas.Empty shop and office waste containers.
• Use automatic riding sweepers and scrubbers to clean shop aisles and floors.
• Operate trash compacter and cardboard baler.
• Assist with company snow removal.
• Clean breakrooms and restrooms in shop and office.
• Dust filing cabinets, window seals, and office cubicles.
• Strip, wax, and buff vinyl floors in all office and break rooms.
• Clean all light fixtures and change light bulbs as needed.
• Pressure-wash all facility entrances seasonally.
• Wash windows inside and outside of facility.
• Comply with all applicable Occupational, Environmental, Health and Safety standards, as well as safety rules and regulations for each task performed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to traverse continuously per 8-hour shift. Frequently able to balance, bend, kneel, and squat. Frequently reach above shoulder level or below knee. Frequently lift and carry 0 to 49.5 lbs. along with fine motor skills for supplies and tools. Must be able to: hear, see, distinguish colors, use feet to operate foot pedals, do simple and firm grasping with both hands on a repetitive basis. Must be able to work in an environment that is moderately noisy, that includes dust, coolants, heat, solvents, battery acid, outside temperatures, paint, grease, and oil. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks, and work in areas of lift truck traffic.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to read, see, write, and able to follow instruction labels on cleaning solutions. Must be able to remember, analyze, and observe. May require a valid driver’s license.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

• Sweepers, scrubbers, trash compactor, cardboard baler, lift trucks, utility knife, band cutter, brooms, shovels, ladders, pressure washer, buffer, leaf blower and backpack sprayer.
• Must wear safety shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs daily, gloves and apron as needed.
