Greif, Inc. is seeking an entry-level General Labor associate to operate and set up routine production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will follow prints, measure parts, maintain logs, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience. Teamwork, reliability, and the ability to learn production equipment are essential for success at Greif.

• Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.

Responsibilities

• Operates routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
• Carry out routine activities that produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced. Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Follows established procedures. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between18.00 to20.00. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases.
