Job summary

SERVPRO of Vacaville / Dixon is seeking self-motivated individuals to join our emergency restoration team. You will support restoration efforts such as water and fire damage, perform setup of equipment, and work with crews to complete tasks on site.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and helping communities in their time of need. Prior handyman or construction experience is preferred, and on-call shifts may apply.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations (water, fire) and start restoration processes.
• Evaluate/restoration tasks including water extraction, drying, and equipment setup.
• Load and organize tools and supplies on vehicles for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards and site findings clearly to supervisors.
• Maintain client communication and explain the restoration process.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
