Job summary

B&G Foods is seeking a production team member for our Brooklyn facility. Responsibilities include sanitation, assembly line work, and operating machines. You may lift up to 50 pounds and stand up to 10 hours daily.

Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Benefits include PTO, health coverage, tuition reimbursement, employee discounts, and work-life balance initiatives. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Warehouse/production experience preferred.
• May need to lift up to 50 pounds depending on task.
• Must be able to walk/sit/stand for up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, twisting and reaching.
• Ability to safely climb ladders or stairs as required for accessing work areas.

Responsibilities

• Move bulk glass from pallet to conveyor belt; pallet sizes vary.
• Apply dog bones to jars in trays and inspect labels and jars for damages.
• Place boxes or trays on mezzanine for case packer.
• Assist in prep of fresh ingredients when available.
• Assist in filling room by adding produce to jars for certain products.
• Make boxes for production and feed trays to case packer when needed.
• Rework jars with bad labels and push/pull heavy materials.
• Handle upstream conveyor belt tasks; duties may vary by production.

Job Description:

The responsibilities of this position may include sanitation, assembly line work or the operation of the machines in our food manufacturing facility.

Position Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday 7AM-5:30PM

Responsibilities:

• Remove bulk glass from Pallet on to a conveyor belt, size of pallets varies from jar size
• Applies dog bones to jars in trays and inspects label and jars for damages
• Put boxes or trays on Mezzanine above production floor for case packer
• Helps prep fresh ingredients when available
• May work in filling room adding produce to jars for certain products
• Make boxes for production when needed
• Feed trays or boxes to Case packer when needed
• Rework jars with bad labels
• Assist in pushing jars upstream on a conveyor belt
• Job responsibilities may vary depending on production.
• Major responsibilities are listed above but are not limited to responsibility.

Experience, Skills, Education:

• Warehouse/Production experience - preferred.
• May need to lift up to 50 pounds depending on work task.
• Must be able to walk/sit/stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day).
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Ability to safely climb ladders or stairs as required for accessing work areas.
• Ability to kneel, squat, maintain balance on uneven or elevated surfaces, and perform equipment inspections as needed.
• Ability to push/pull heavy materials and use hands and fingers for gripping, handling, and assembling parts.
• Flexible in a fast paced environment
• Attention to detail is a must
• Strong and efficient work ethic
• Ability to learn quickly and retain new information

Compensation: $17.00 per hour
