The General Health Sciences Coordinator reports directly to the Dean of Health Sciences and will serve as an instructor for the Medical Assisting program. The primary responsibilities include teaching and coordinating general health sciences (AHS) courses, serving as an instructor for Medical Assisting courses, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students. Must adapt to changes in information technology and be able to perform clinic travel locally and outside the tri-county area.
A bachelor's degree in a related field is required. A master's degree, teaching experience in Health Sciences, and a current Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) credential are preferred.
Experience teaching in medical assisting is highly desirable. Ability to work independently, along with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, are essential.
