Job description

The General Health Sciences Coordinator reports directly to the Dean of Health Sciences and will serve as an instructor for the Medical Assisting program. The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Teaching and coordinating general health sciences (AHS) courses.
  2. Serving as an instructor for Medical Assisting courses by designing, developing, and delivering curriculum.
  3. Evaluating student performance and advising students.
  4. Functioning effectively in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.
  5. Performing clinic travel locally and outside of the tri-county area.

This position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field. The preferred candidate will have a master's degree, teaching experience in Health Sciences, and a current Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) credential. Experience in medical assisting teaching is highly desirable. The ability to work with limited supervision, excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills are essential.
