CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: General Handyman

Our national maintenance and construction firm is recruiting a General Handyman willing to travel across the U.S. for full-time commercial projects.

Job Requirements:

The candidate must be proficient in the following skills:

• Carpentry: partition framing (metal/wood studs), basic cabinetry/countertops, door/window installation
• Painting: interior & exterior
• Flooring: VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, cove base

Basic knowledge in the following areas is also required:

• Plumbing: sink, faucet, toilet installation/replacement, basic drainage/water lines (licensed plumbers encouraged)
• Electrical: light fixtures, switches, outlets installation, basic data connections, minor electrical diagnostics (licensed electricians encouraged)
• HVAC: refrigeration knowledge

Essential Functions:

• Performing commercial renovations and buildouts
• Using basic computer skills
• Adhering to OSHA requirements
• Communicating effectively with customers and building relationships
• Documenting repairs with measurements, photos, recommendations, and quotes
• Working overtime and on-call as needed
• Traveling and working overnight shifts across the U.S. when required

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years in construction or commercial maintenance
• Proficiency with basic construction hand tools
• OSHA 10-hour certification or completion within 3 months of employment (paid by employer)
