Job summary

John Sisk & Son is seeking a General Foreman to lead on-site programme delivery, ensuring safe, efficient construction with proper labour, plant and materials. You will coordinate subcontractors and internal teams to meet contract requirements and company policies.

The role reports to the Contracts Manager and supports site progress, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards across live projects.

Qualifications

• A proven track record of at least ten years within a construction management environment.
• Experience with overseeing site operations and safety compliance.
• Strong analytical and planning capabilities for programme delivery.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor key stage programmes.
• Set up the site and maintain site security and tidiness.
• Take possession of the site, plan and coordinate trades activities.
• Apply for temporary service connections and interpret drawings.
• Communicate directions to site teams effectively.

Overview

The General Foreman is responsible to the Contracts Manager and works closely with the Quantity Surveyor. They are responsible for the management of the onsite programme in respect of delivery, workmanship and safety.
