Job summary

Kelso Industries’ Advanced Mechanical division seeks an experienced Process Piping General Foreman to lead field crews in Phoenix, focusing on process and high‑purity piping systems. Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial/industrial piping experience with field leadership as a General Foreman or Foreman.
• Significant experience with process piping and/or high-purity piping systems.
• Ability to read drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, specifications, and field installation documents.
• Experience leading self-perform mechanical/process piping crews.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate process piping crews, including foremen, journeymen, welders, and apprentices.
• Plan daily and weekly field activities to meet project schedule, production, safety, and quality requirements.
• Supervise installation of high-purity and process piping systems using stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, and poly piping.
• Oversee orbital welding, TIG welding, fusion welding, and other joining processes.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, P&IDs, isometrics, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, materials, and work sequencing with project leadership.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Safety, QA/QC, and other trades to resolve field issues.
• Maintain a strong field presence and reinforce safety, productivity, quality, and accountability.
• Mentor foremen and craft employees to build a high-performing field team.

General Foreman – Process Piping / High-Purity Systems

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Advanced Mechanical is seeking an experienced Process Piping General Foreman to lead field crews supporting advanced manufacturing and mission-critical projects in the Phoenix market. This position requires significant hands‑on experience with process and high‑purity piping systems and the ability to lead self‑performing piping crews in demanding, schedule‑driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate process piping crews, including foremen, journeymen, welders, and apprentices.
• Plan daily and weekly field activities to meet project schedule, production, safety, and quality requirements.
• Supervise installation of high‑purity and process piping systems utilizing stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, and poly piping.
• Oversee orbital welding, TIG welding, fusion welding, and other specialized joining processes.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, P&IDs, isometrics, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, materials, and work sequencing with project leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial/industrial piping experience, with demonstrated field leadership experience as a General Foreman or Foreman.
• Significant experience with process piping and/or high‑purity piping systems.
• Working knowledge of orbital welding, TIG welding, and fusion/fuse welding.
• Experience installing and supervising stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, and poly piping systems.
• Experience in advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, data center, mission‑critical, pharmaceutical, or similar technically demanding environments strongly preferred.
• Experience leading self‑perform mechanical/process piping crews strongly preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, specifications, and field installation documents.
• Strong understanding of field safety, quality control, manpower planning, and production.
• Proven ability to lead crews effectively in a fast‑paced project environment.

This is a field leadership position for an experienced piping professional who understands both the technical requirements of process/high‑purity piping and the day‑to‑day execution required to keep crews productive, safe, and on schedule.
