Creative Dining Services is hiring a General Food Service Worker for Volunteer State in Gallatin, TN. Responsibilities include setting up service areas, preparing and serving hot/cold items, operating the cash register, and assisting with daily setup and closing tasks.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, willing to learn, and able to operate multiple stations. Schedule typically 6am–2pm, Monday–Thursday, with potential Friday/evening events.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading and math skills.
• Must be able to communicate and understand primary language(s) used by guests who typically visit the work location.

Responsabilités

• Sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils as instructed, supports daily operations.
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold meals and beverages.
• Serves food items to customers from counters and/or steam tables, replenishes foods and supplies as needed.
• Cleans and maintains work areas and disposes of trash; ensures sanitary handling of serviceware.
• Washes pots and pans and organizes serviceware for reuse.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $16.00 To $16.00 Annually

Creative Dining Services is currently is growing and looking for a General Food Service Worker to join our team at Volunteer State in Gallatin, TN! The General Food Service Worker performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving food and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service environments.

The ideal candidate for this role will be adaptable and willing to learn & operate multiple stations throughout the operation, including making coffee, helping to prep and serve breakfast and salad bar items, operating a cash register, and assisting in daily set up and service, as well as collection of garbage/trash and other closing tasks.

Schedule: Typically 6am - 2pm, Monday-Thursday. Some Friday and/or evenings may be required as events/caterings require.

Core Responsibilities of the General Food Service Worker:

• Sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction, in accordance with specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations; may operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned.
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold meals and beverages.
• Serves food items to customers from counters and/or steam tables, in accordance with specific instructions, ensuring that appropriate portions are served. As needed, replenishes foods, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays at serving stations; may order and replenish condiments.
• May clean and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation.
• Washes pots, pans, and other serviceware ensuring sanitary handling; organizes and replaces serviceware to appropriate location.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
