Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a farm labor candidate to operate tractors and skid steers for potato farming activities, including conveyors, washers, and bin loading for railroad cars. You will inspect potatoes on grading tables, transport materials, and maintain equipment and grounds as needed.

The role requires a valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one in 60 days), English reading/writing for records, and three months of tractor/ skid steer experience. Housing and meals are provided.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials with tractor and towed wagons to designated locations.
• File scale tickets and perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Snow removal and grounds upkeep as needed.

Job description

Drives and operates farm machinery such as tractors and skid steers to perform potato farm

activities such as conveyors and bin piles for loading railroad cars with potatoes. They will

operate the potato washer and load grading tables for inspection of the potatoes and transport with tractor / towed wagons for materials or supplies to designated locations. Scale tickets will have to be filed and routine maintenance will need to be done on all equipment, structures and snow removal of the grounds.

Employees must have a valid driver's license or be capable of obtaining one in 60 days.

Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only. NO TEXTING. No smoking or

drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours. No Educational level is required.

Must be able to read and speak English for daily record keeping and safety reasons. Must be capability of 50 pounds.

Workers must have three months of tractor driving with computerized monitor experience.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Workers are provided with a fully furnished kitchen where they can make their meals.

When they cannot return to their home base for meals they will be provided with coolers to pack their lunches.

They will be provided with transportation to the closest supermarket once a week where they can purchase groceries and personal items. The closest supermarket is 18 miles away.

Transport: When worker has completed 50% of the contract Employer will reimburse worker the cost of airfare and daily subsistence a minimum reimbursement of $ 16.78 per day and a maximum reimbursement of $ 68.00 per day. (Receipts required) from place of recruitment (inbound) to placement of work. Upon completion of contract employer will pay return cost of airfare (outbound) to place of recruitment, except when worker does not return to place of original recruitment or an extension is filed.
