Job summary

H2ajobs in Nebraska is hiring a farm laborer to build, repair and maintain cattle fences and winter livestock areas, and to operate feed wagons, trucks, tractors and other equipment to care for cattle during winter. You will check cattle, water supplies and herd health; monitor calving and assist with birthing as required, herd, move, catch, weigh and load cattle with livestock-handling equipment.

Maintenance of farm vehicles and machinery, plus general winter duties, is included.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Housing provided to the workers have fully equipped kitchen where they can prepare and cook their own meals three times a day. The kitchen is fully functional and equipped with appliances such as stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher - all in working condition. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary utensils for prepping and cooking food. Adequate sinks with the warm and cold water under pressure. The employer will ensure that workers have access to a grocery store at least once a week to purchase their own food/produce. Workers have access to vehicles to drive themselves to the grocery stores from the house to the stores and back.

Transport: The Employer will, as per H2A regulations, reimburse the worker for travel cost, including daily subsistence rates stipulated at the time, from the worker's place of residence to the workplace, and upon contract completion, from the workplace back to the worker's place of residence at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charge for the distance involved, for example return bus and or airfare.
