Job summary

KIPP St. Louis Public Schools seeks General Education Teachers (K-12) to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction, design grade-appropriate tasks, and monitor student progress using data.

The role supports collaboration with a Principal, Instructional Coach, and regional teams to drive continuous improvement across classrooms. Open to 6th-Grade English and 7th-Grade Science teachers; 10-month, full-time schedule starts immediately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education
• Minimum of 2+ years of classroom teaching experience
• Missouri Teacher Certification

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction where students engage in grade-level standards, texts, and rigorous tasks daily
• Internalize curriculum to ensure alignment to standards, pacing, and high-quality outcomes
• Design and execute tasks that require students to analyze, justify, and apply learning
• Provide scaffolds that increase access without lowering rigor, including modeling and guided practice
• Anticipate misconceptions and plan targeted supports to ensure access to grade-level content
