Job Summary

Geisinger is proud to offer General Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Regional Float positions with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operating equipment, and maintaining related records.

Job Duties

  1. Performs standardized radiological and fluoroscopic examinations, ensuring proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques.
  2. Operates all equipment within the modality proficiently.
  3. Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  4. Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology for examinations.
  5. Assists physicians with various procedures.
  6. Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  7. Maintains related records and notations.
  8. Participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  9. Participates in the educational training of students.
  10. The primary schedule involves floating between hospitals within a regional location to fill scheduling gaps due to time off and staffing shortages, including nights and weekends.

Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The role requires compliance with all organizational policies and procedures. Position Details

The primary schedule involves assignments that require floating between hospital and outpatient locations within a region to fill scheduling gaps due to time off, FMLA, staffing shortages, or other coverage needs as deemed by radiology leadership. Coverage may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, or any combination thereof.

Education

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required)

Experience

Certification(s) and License(s): Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
