Job Summary: Geisinger is proud to offer General Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Regional Float positions with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records.

Job Duties
  • Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
  • Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  • Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
  • Assists physician with various procedures.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintains related records and notations.
  • Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  • Participates in the educational training of students.
  • Primary schedule consists of floating between hospitals within a regional location to fill scheduling gaps due to time off and staffing shortages, which includes nights and weekends.

Position Details

Primary schedule consists of assignments that require floating between hospital and outpatient locations within a region to fill scheduling gaps due to time off, FMLA, staffing shortages, or other coverage needs deemed relevant by radiology leadership. Coverage requirements may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, or any combination.

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required).

Experience

Certification(s) and License(s): Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
