The Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Institute is recruiting BC/BE General Dermatologists to support expanding programs within the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
The opportunity is described in two tracks:
Community clinical dermatologist track — practice in one of the Family Health Centers (FHCs) across the greater Cleveland area. Responsibilities include clinical dermatology, surgical excisions and incisional biopsies, oversight of phototherapy, and potential laser procedures depending on qualification and experience. Clinicians see a full spectrum of dermatologic problems and develop relationships with patients in the local community. They have access to a strong physician referral network that includes other specialists at each FHC and dermatologists at the Main campus who handle complex diseases. Candidates should be committed to excellent patient care with strong clinical skills.
Academic clinical dermatologist track — practice at the Main campus, serving the local community and as an international tertiary care referral center. These physicians see a full spectrum of dermatologic disease, with focus on medical dermatology and often a medical dermatology subspecialty, while incorporating some surgical dermatology if desired. In addition to clinical practice, academic clinical dermatologists participate in resident education, inpatient consultations, lectures at local, national and international conferences, and research with access to state-of-the-art resources. Individuals should have a strong desire to advance both their personal reputation and the department’s reputation as world leaders in dermatology.
