Job summary

Desort in Columbia, SC is seeking a General Dentist to provide comprehensive tooth replacement and restorative care for adult patients. The role focuses on extractions, removable prosthetics, implants, and other tooth replacement solutions, with access to on-site laboratory support and hands-on clinical mentorship.

The ideal candidate will have a DDS or DMD, be licensed or eligible to practice in South Carolina, and possess strong surgical and diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Current or eligible dental license to practice.
• Implant experience preferred but not required.
• Surgical experience, particularly with complex cases, highly preferred.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent chairside manner and patient communication.
• Compassionate, caring approach to patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with dentists, laboratory personnel, and other clinical team members.
• Commitment to continued clinical learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on oral health and available treatment options.
• Consult with patients, perform examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide extraction and surgical dental services, including complex cases as appropriate.
• Provide removable, fixed, and implant-supported tooth replacement solutions.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of dentures, partials, implants, and related prosthetic services.
• Collaborate closely with laboratory personnel in the design and fabrication of dentures and partials.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care with strong chairside communication.
• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and follow professional standards.
• Stay current with developments in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.

Education

DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school

Current or eligible dental license to practice

Implant experience

Surgical experience with complex cases

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills

Excellent chairside manner and patient communication
