Job summary

Aizer Health, a Federally Qualified Community Health Center, seeks a licensed dentist to join its growing dental department in the United States. You will assess and treat pediatric and adult patients, supervise assistants, and participate in provider meetings in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Schedule includes flexible weekday shifts (Mon–Thu) and varied Friday/Sunday options, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, relationship-based care and community impact.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited dental school.
  • Must hold a New York State license.
  • Comfortable dealing with pediatric and adult patients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records software (preferred).
  • Dexis digital radiographs experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient health assessments including vital signs, medical problems, allergies, and medications.
  • Diagnose intraoral and extra-oral conditions and plan appropriate treatment.
  • Develop and execute tailored treatment plans for each patient.
  • Provide routine dental treatments such as restorations, root canal therapy, extractions, and periodontal care.
  • Supervise dental assistants and coordinate team workflow.
  • Offer professional consultation to staff dentists when needed.
  • Participate in dental provider meetings and case discussions.
  • Adapt to diverse assignments as directed by Dental Director/Practice Manager.

Schedule:


  • Monday-Thursday: Flexible 8,10 or 11-hour shifts

  • Fridays: 9 am - 3 pm or 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • 1 Sunday a month: 9 am - 5 pm, when you work on a Sunday, you’ll have an additional day off during the week


Position Overview:


  • Conduct Comprehensive Patient Health Assessments: Conduct patient health assessments to include patients’ height, weight, blood pressure, medical problems, allergies, reactions, and prescribed medications.

  • Diagnose Intraoral & Extra-Oral Conditions: Diagnose patients’ intraoral and extra-oral conditions including existing caries, endodontic pathology, periodontal condition, prosthetic needs, and any soft tissue abnormalities.

  • Develop and Execute Treatment Plans: Treatment plan necessary work for patients, ensuring they receive the required dental care tailored to their specific needs.

  • Provide Routine Dental Treatments: Provide the necessary routine dental treatment for patients under your care, including amalgam restorations, aesthetic composite restorations, routine root canal therapy, routine extractions, prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planning, and perodontic care.

  • Supervise Dental Assistants: Exercise direct supervision of the assigned/designated dental assistants, ensuring efficient and effective team performance.

  • Offer Professional Consultation : Provide professional consultation to other staff dentists when needed, supporting their practice and patient care.

  • Participate in Dental Provider Meetings: Attend dental provider meetings and participate in case study discussions, contributing to collaborative learning and patient care improvement.

  • Adapt and Excel in Diverse Assignments: Perform other duties as assigned by the Dental Director/Practice Manager, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to delivering high-quality dental care across all aspects of service.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Graduate from an accredited Dental school

  • A current New York State license

  • Must be comfortable dealing with pediatric and adult patients

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records software

  • Experience with Dexis digital radiographs


Pay & Benefits:


  • $100-120 per hour, commensurate with experience

  • Student Loan Forgiveness – Eligible for up to $50,000 in loan repayment for full‑time dentists and $25,000 for part‑time dentists through the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program
