Job summary

ICON Medical Network seeks a locum General Dentist in Mobile, Alabama, to cover a Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. The role involves comprehensive exams, diagnosis, and delivering a broad range of dental procedures in a family-friendly setting.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, educate patients on oral hygiene, manage records and coordinate with specialists as needed, all while maintaining high infection control standards.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school.
• Active, unrestricted state dental license or in the process of obtaining a license upon graduation.
• CPR/BLS, DEA certification, and NPI number required for credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive examinations and evaluations to diagnose dental problems.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
• Perform a wide range of procedures, including fillings, cleanings, extractions, and root canals.

Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Bread & Butter dentistry. Prefers pediatric dentistry experience but will accept a general dentist that works well with children/families
• Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and evaluations to diagnose dental problems
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients
• Perform a wide range of procedures, including fillings, cleanings, extractions, and root canals
• Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and evaluations to diagnose dental problems
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
• Provide prescriptions for patients as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including X-rays and treatment histories
• Refer patients to specialists (like orthodontists or oral surgeons) for complex treatments
• Ensure all work is compliant with safety, OSHA, and infection control standards
