Job description

Providence Staffing has a leading private dental practice in Mobile, AL, dedicated to providing high-quality dental care to their patients in need of a General Dentist. The client offers a work-life balance with the flexibility to work only three days a week. Their practice is committed to delivering personalized treatment in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review patients' medical records and history to assess their dental needs and concerns.
  • Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Perform thorough dental examinations, including assessing the health of teeth, gums, and oral tissues, as well as reviewing X-rays and diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose dental conditions such as tooth decay and gum disease, and develop comprehensive treatment plans to address them.
  • Perform restorative procedures, including cavity fillings, dental prosthetics, and teeth-whitening treatments, to restore oral health and enhance smiles.
  • Perform surgical procedures, such as tooth extractions, root canal therapy, and periodontal surgeries, to address advanced dental issues.
  • Prescribe medication as needed to alleviate pain and manage infections associated with dental conditions.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations, to promote long-term oral health.
  • Schedule regular check-ups and preventive dental care appointments to monitor oral health and address any emerging issues.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD), or similar degree from an accredited dental school.
  • In-depth understanding of dental anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Proficiency in operating dental equipment and instruments, including X-ray machines, dental drills, and surgical instruments.
  • Experience performing surgical procedures, including tooth extractions and periodontal surgeries.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Active dental license in the state of Alabama, or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $150,000 - $400,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
