Compensation:

• Salaried, exempt
• New hires can expect to be placed on our starting wage scale of $144,900-$181,100 per year.
• Based on performance, there is room to grow on our full wage scale from $144,900 to $217,400 per year.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time at 40 hours per week
• Schedule is four days per week working 10-hour days

Job Summary

Adult dental care is one of the most needed but least available services in our county. An estimated 45,000 Whatcom County residents lack access to dental care. Unity Care NW has expanded its dental facilities in recent years, but we are still only able to meet a small portion of the need. As a General Dentist for our Bellingham adult dental clinic, you would provide quality dental care to our adult patients.

Requirements

• DDS or DMD
• current Washington State Dentist License or eligible to obtain one
• current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with ability to prescribe Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 and 5 or eligible to obtain one

Other Qualifications

• one or more years of experience as a clinical dentist preferred, especially in a community or public health setting
• reliable & team-oriented with a collaborative approach to practice
• ability to use Electronic Dental Records, specifically Dentrix & eRX, and Microsoft Office programs
• ability to understand and respond effectively and with sensitivity to all ages and special populations served by UCNW - special populations include those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, sexual orientation, economic standing, disability, migrant and seasonal workers, experiencing homelessness and others.
