Arizona Healthy Smiles is seeking an experienced dental assistant to join our general dentistry practice in Tempe. This part-time position supports a team of one dentist, two hygienists, and front desk staff, providing essential chairside assistance and patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting with crowns, bridges, implants, extractions, and root canals, while maintaining clean, efficient workflows using Dentrix software and modern digital tools.

Qualifications

• CPR, X-ray/Radiography certifications required.
• Dentrix software proficiency required.
• Clinical experience in general dentistry essential.
• 2+ years of experience as a dental assistant preferred.
• CPR and BLS certifications desired.
• X-ray/Radiography certification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general dentistry procedures (crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, whitening).
• Support extractions and root canals as part of patient care.

Schedule

Part‑Time Schedule on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Alternating Mondays/Fridays

This role offers a part‑time schedule, allowing for a balanced work‑life arrangement. You will work every Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional shifts on alternating Mondays and Fridays. The office operates Monday to Wednesday until 5:00 PM, and Fridays until 4:00 PM.

You will utilize contemporary dental tools, including digital X-rays and an intraoral camera, in a digitally equipped clinical environment. The practice also uses Dentrix software, requiring proficiency in its application. Our commitment to technology ensures efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.

General Dentistry

Focus on General Dentistry and Comprehensive Care

The practice focuses on general dentistry, providing a broad scope of experience. This includes procedures like crowns, bridges, and implants, as well as cosmetic treatments such as veneers and whitening. You will also assist with extractions and root canals, supporting a diverse range of patient needs.

Compensation

Compensation and Professional Environment

The position offers a salary of $22‒$26/hr, with paid time off included. You will join a team comprising one dentist, two hygienists, one front desk staff, and one existing assistant. We maintain high standards of care and a supportive work environment.
