Job summary

Masterworks, a fintech platform investing in high-value artworks, seeks a General Counsel to own the legal function, shaping strategy and driving securities offerings. Qualifications

• Hands on experience with securities offerings, incl. Regulation A/D or registered offerings.
• Familiarity with the Securities Act of 1933 and Investment Company Act of 1940 is a plus.
• Strong ability to draft, negotiate, and close complex securities and corporate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and guide the company’s securities offerings and regulatory compliance.
• Structure and negotiate corporate transactions, financings, partnerships, and reorganizations.
• Provide hands-on legal support across employment, IP, data privacy, and corporate matters.
• Maintain governance and policy frameworks with cross-functional teams.
• Lead outside counsel relationships and build scalable legal processes.
