Job description

An established, multi-strategy hedge fund is looking to add a junior attorney to its legal team in New York City. This is an opportunity to work directly with the firm's General Counsel and gain broad exposure to the legal, regulatory and commercial matters involved in running a sophisticated investment management business. The legal team is lean, and the role will offer significantly more variety and responsibility than many traditional junior attorney positions. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, outside counsel and various internal teams, with responsibilities evolving as they develop their knowledge of the business.

What they are looking for:

The firm is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including law firms and in-house legal teams. Prior hedge fund or investment management experience would be helpful but is not a requirement.
