Job summary

Puffy, a market-leading D2C brand, is hiring a General Counsel to own the in-house legal function across consumer-facing compliance, fund documentation, and cross-border structuring. Remote-first with option to work from Dubai, relocation and visa support available.

JD from an accredited law school and barred in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; 5–10 years of experience; strong outside counsel management and AI fluency.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and barred in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5–10 years of legal experience, ideally a mix of law firm and in-house roles.
• Ability to manage multiple outside counsel relationships concurrently.
• Experience supporting cross-border legal work and multi-jurisdictional matters.

Responsibilities

• Own the in-house legal function across consumer-facing compliance, fund documentation, and custody protocols.
• Negotiate hedge fund subscription agreements and LP terms.
• Build audit cadence and risk controls for a global brand.
• Lead cross-border structuring and coordinate with CEO with no intermediary layers.
