The Court of Administrative Hearings (CAH) seeks a General Counsel to lead the Office of General Counsel, report to the Executive Team, and supervise in-house attorneys. This is a strategic, high-impact leadership role guiding legal work that supports CAH’s judicial functions.
You will provide executive-level advice, manage litigation, oversee data practices, serve as Ethics Officer, and liaison with the Legislature, Governor’s Office, and external partners while shaping policy and rules.
The Court of Administrative Hearings (CAH)’s General Counsel, Abigail Rankin, will be leaving the court at the end of the month to pursue a new opportunity with the Minnesota Supreme Court. CAH’s General Counsel serves as the court’s chief in-house counsel and is a member of the court’s Executive Team alongside the Chief Judge, Deputy Chief Judge, and Court Administrator. Leading the Court’s Office of General Counsel and supervising a team of in-house attorneys, the General Counsel guides the legal work that supports CAH’s judicial functions.
