Responsibilities

1. Provide legal counsel on various matters including laws and legal rights.
2. Develop relationships and collaborate with all departments.
3. Assess risks and respond to critical issues.
4. Draft, manage, and negotiate vendor contracts.
5. Manage litigation and investigations, collaborating with department heads.
6. Oversee insurance coverages and ensure compliance with California bar requirements.
7. Interpret and implement applicable laws, rules, and policies.
8. Develop, review, and update firm policies and procedures.
9. Research laws and regulations affecting the firm.
10. Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to our Los Angeles office.

Qualifications

1. Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
2. Minimum of 7-10 years in-house or as general counsel.
3. Proven high ethical standards.
4. Experience advising executive management with practical solutions.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
6. Strong judgment and quick evaluation skills.
7. Outstanding negotiation and research skills.
8. Experience in personal injury is a plus.
