Job summary

The State of Georgia is seeking a General Core Instructor - Economics to teach economics classes within the Arts & Sciences program, following the approved syllabus and employing effective teaching techniques.

The instructor will manage grading, maintain grade books, report timely, and may work day or evening hours at satellite locations, reporting to the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Some travel to satellite locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional supervision to students in economics classes as part of the Arts & Sciences program.
• Demonstrate the use of appropriate teaching techniques.
• Demonstrate the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record-keeping required.
• Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of current in-field procedures.
• Follows approved course syllabus.
• Completes all reports, records in a timely manner and maintains an accurate inventory of all assigned properties.
• Position may involve day and evening hours and may require travel to satellite locations.
