Description

Job Summary:

The primary duties of the General Laborer are to safely assist crews with various types of construction projects. Projects include performance contracting, energy efficiency retrofit, and backup/supplemental power distribution generator equipment emplacement. The General Laborer will be responsible for ensuring safety and wellbeing of crew members and the timely completion of projects. Effective communication with residents and the public in a courteous manner is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of experience as a general laborer or skilled trades apprentice.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Willingness and ability to travel 75-85%+ as required, including driving a company vehicle and flying commercially if necessary.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and healthy work sites following company standards and legal requirements.
• Use hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Learn all aspects of the installation process.
• Be punctual, organized, and professional.
• Communicate effectively with Senior Staff to ensure correct, safe, and timely project completion.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Travel required (75-85+%), including driving or flying.
• Stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time.
• Operate hand tools with manual dexterity.

Work environment may include exposure to weather, noise, energized electrical equipment, overhead hazards, and heavy machinery.
