Job summary

EPES Transport, a Penske Logistics division, seeks Class A CDL drivers for dry van freight in the US. Drives late-model Penske trucks, with drop & hook freight and no-touch loads. Home weekly with most weekends off, and comprehensive benefits.

Pay is $0.65 per mile with $1,300–$1,600 weekly average. Benefits include paid vacation from day 1, retirement plans, health coverage, disability, life/AD&D, and an incentive program. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and legal to operate in the U.S.
• DOT medical card per regulations
• 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years OR 2 years in last 5 years
• Clean DMV/MVR record with few violations
• Ability to work a defined schedule and pass background/drug screening

Responsibilities

• Operate dry van freight with live load/unload and drop & hook.
• Maintain safety and compliance with federal/state regulations.
• Deliver freight on time with Penske equipment.

This position is for EPES Transport, LLC., a division of Penske Logistics, based in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers

• $0.65 per mile, $1300 to $1600 per week average pay
• Additional utilization bonus based on miles driven
• All no touch freight, mostly drop & hook

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske-maintained trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety
• Equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to help ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Dry Van Loads comprised of Freight of All Kinds (FAK), with a mixture of live load/unload and drop & hook freight

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
