Job description

A General Cleaning Supervisor is an employee assigned to oversee work activities of janitorial personnel in commercial and industrial establishments, assign daily duties, inspect work, and perform janitorial services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs duties at the direction of the Contract Manager
• Daily verbal and/or written communication with subordinates and management
• Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees
• Makes rounds to check for crew coverage of designated work areas
• Assigns needed coverage
• Gives special cleaning instructions and/or assignments
• Ascertains compliance with directives
• Conducts inspections and investigates tenant complaints of the building to check for cleanliness
• Advises employees of found conditions and methods of correction
• Inspects equipment for cleanliness

Secondary Responsibilities

• Dusting
• Dust mopping
• Damp mopping
• Picking up trash
• Emptying trash
• Spot cleaning walls

Requirements
