Job summary

FCS Services is seeking a dependable General Cleaner to join our overnight team at Sioux Falls Regional Airport in Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time role involves cleaning and sanitizing airport spaces during a 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 06:30 AM, with training provided for the right candidate.

You will work to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, performing janitorial duties across floors, restrooms, offices, and public areas.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work during an 8-hour shift.
• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Pre-employment background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, and public areas.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum assigned areas.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Restock restroom supplies and cleaning materials as needed.
• Assist with floor care projects including buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and high-touch areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and chemicals per procedures.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE as required.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor promptly.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Full-Time General Cleaner to join our overnight team at Sioux Falls Regional Airport. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the airport by performing general cleaning and janitorial duties.

This is a stable, full-time opportunity with room for advancement. Employees who demonstrate reliability and strong performance may have opportunities to grow into Lead, Floor Technician, or Supervisory positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, and public areas.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum assigned areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Restock restroom supplies and other cleaning materials as needed.
• Assist with floor care projects, including buffing, stripping, and waxing, as directed.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and other high-touch areas.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to company procedures.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

• Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily performed indoors throughout the Sioux Falls Regional Airport. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dust, noise, and high-traffic public areas. The position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.

This position is located at Sioux Falls Regional Airport. All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment background check before their start date. Additional security screening may be required due to airport access. Details will be provided during the hiring process.
