- OSF Healthcare’s Cardiovascular Institute, a group of 40 plus Cardiologists serving the central Midwest, is looking to add a General Cardiologist to their growing practice.
- Ideal candidate will have an academic background in Cardiovascular Disease and enjoy teaching the next generation of Cardiologists.
- The OSF Cardiovascular Service Line collaborates with 17 area hospitals and 9 clinics to provide comprehensive services for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease.
- Delivering specialized care through CV surgery, MCS, Transplant, Aortic Center, Structural Heart, Advanced HF, Cardio One, Cardio OB, with over 300 STEMI cases annually.
- This position includes coverage at OSF Saint Francis Heart Hospital, with over 30 years of experience in heart disease treatment using advanced technologies. The total patient catchment area is 1.2 million. The institution interprets more than 15,000 echoes and 4,500 stress tests annually.
- OSF owns and operates its own helicopter services.
- Be an integral part of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria’s Cardiology Fellowship and Internal Medicine Residency programs.
- Call schedule includes 1-2 weeknights per month (Monday through Thursday) and 8-9 weekends per year.
- Full-time, with a clinical base salary range of $530,000 to $582,082. This range is an estimate and may be influenced by experience, qualifications, community needs, and other factors. Additional compensation may include bonuses or incentives based on performance metrics.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications- Doctorate degree.
- Medical license in current practice state.
- Board certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Eligible for hospital privileges and participation in OSF’s malpractice coverage.
- Eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal programs.
- Ability to prescribe narcotics if applicable, licensed by DEA and Illinois authorities.
Preferred Qualifications- Recent clinical experience at a large academic center.
- Ability to provide patient-centered care aligned with patient goals and needs.
