Job Description

Our client, a not-for-profit teaching hospital serving an ethnically diverse community in New York City, is hiring a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Cardiologist to join a growing ambulatory cardiology practice with a teaching hospital in the NY Metro area. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated clinician with a passion for providing comprehensive cardiovascular care in an academic, team-based environment. This position is primarily outpatient-based, with responsibilities including inpatient consults, ongoing cardiac care management, and diagnostic interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based cardiovascular care in the outpatient clinic
  • Interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other non-invasive studies
  • Participate in inpatient cardiology consults on a scheduled, rotational basis
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurse practitioners, fellows, and residents
  • Educate medical students and residents as part of the teaching mission
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and comply with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality improvement and practice development initiatives

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiology Fellowship Program
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Eligible for licensure in the State of New York
  • Commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care
  • Prior experience in an academic or teaching setting is preferred, but not required
