Job summary
AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a General & Bariatric Surgical Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive perioperative care. You will perform preoperative assessments, assist in surgeries, educate patients, and collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes and support weight-loss goals.
This full-time DAY shift role requires 1+ year of related experience, Florida PA/NP licensure, BLS, ACLS preferred, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care in
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral PA/NP degree required.
- Current unrestricted PA/APRN license in Florida.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preoperative assessments and manage perioperative care.
- Assist with general and bariatric surgical procedures.
- Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery.
- Coordinate care with surgeons, dietitians, and nursing staff.
- Document encounters in the EMR and participate in quality initiatives.
- Provide hospital rounding, consults, and on-call coverage.
