Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner education and licensure requirements as described.
• Physician Assistant program graduate with applicable licensure.
• Active Florida APRN/PA credentials and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing care for patients; write orders including perioperative orders and medications.
• Perform detailed H&P examinations and document progress notes.
• Conduct daily rounds and monitor patient status, notifying supervising physician as needed.
• Assist in surgical procedures in operating room and scrub with surgeon.
• Dispense/prescribe medications as allowed by supervising physician.

Education

MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing

Graduate of accredited physician assistant program
