AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in Washington, DC, seeks a General Automotive/R&R Technician to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and quickly identify performance problems. Daytime hours, a clean environment, and a great team atmosphere are offered, with ongoing training opportunities available.

Requirements include experience as a General Automotive Technician, a valid driver’s license, and ownership of professional grade tools.

• Experience working as a General Automotive Technician.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Own professional grade tools to service most general repair needs.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques
