Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. is seeking an experienced General Automotive/R&R Technician to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and quickly identify performance problems. You will diagnose and repair automotive systems, including transmission components, while maintaining clear records for cost estimates.

Daytime hours, competitive pay based on experience, and access to training resources are offered. Valid driver's license and relevant licenses are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a General Automotive/R&R Technician.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Inspection and Emissions license.
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair.
• Be proficient with schematics and flowcharts.
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
• A/C Refrigerant handling certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
• Ability to accurately diagnose transmission problems, TCM, PCM, Solenoids, electrical issues.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities.
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians.
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques.
• Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated.
• Ability to perform misfire, evap, brakes, etc.
