Job summary

Hertrich Family of Dealerships is seeking a General Auto Service Tech / Entry-Level Mechanic in Elkton, MD. This role offers paid training, opportunities to advance, and involvement in a large, busy service operation. You will perform basic services and MPIs while working toward technician certifications.

The position emphasizes hands-on learning in a high-volume shop with a supportive team and clear career progression. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of automotive maintenance or repair experience is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with minimal points.
• Own a basic set of automotive repair tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic automotive services including oil changes, lube services, and fluid flushes.
• Complete Multi-Point Inspections (MPIs).
• Assist with brake services (experience a plus, not required).
• Gain hands-on experience while working toward technician certifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
