Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) seeks a seasoned technical expert to lead and train team members, support vehicle launches, and resolve daily production issues with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will prepare reports for management, analyze labor allocation, coordinate projects such as new equipment installations, and drive continuous improvement across production, quality, and cost while upholding BMS/EMS/SMS requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in vehicle production.
• Minimum 5 years of production experience.
• Knowledge of data analysis and proposal development.
• Experience with set-up processes for a new assembly plant.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for Team Members including technical training.
• Serve as technical expert of assigned area during vehicle launches.
• Support daily production issues as required.
• Prepare presentations/reports on current projects, progress, and issues to management.
• Understand and control labor allocation.
• Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
• Analyze and continuously improve performance of assigned area (safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors).
• Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem-solving teams, as directed by Senior Management.
• Continually review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.
• Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
• Meet all other requirements as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent desired

Travel Requirement

• Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
