Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a General Anesthesia Assistant to provide anesthesia support in a pediatric dental practice and outpatient surgery center. The role reports to the Specialty Services Manager and includes patient education and sterilization responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has radiology education, BLS CPR, and experience in a dental environment; travel to assist with services may be required.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and state requirements must be met.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and patient communication are essential.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks accurately and on time.
• Knowledge of eCW is a plus; previous dental office experience preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia services and support team for smooth operations.
• Educate patients and parents on oral health and care between visits.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare workstations per OSHA standards.
• Travel as needed to support anesthesia services.
• Maintain a clean and presentable practice environment.

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM,is currently seeking a General Anesthesia Assistant to provide excellent, high-quality care to patients at a pediatric dental practice and outpatient surgery center, including sedation/surgery. This position will report to the Specialty Services Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the team with a smooth flow of anesthesia support servicesCreate a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Travel as needed to assist with anesthesia services
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
