Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Contract to hire General Accounting Clerk for our client in the St. Louis Metro area. The role is 100% onsite and focuses on payroll processing, time records, and financial record accuracy.

The position handles accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, month-end close, and audit support, with emphasis on confidentiality and compliant payroll administration. Compensation is $24-$26 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll on a weekly/biweekly basis.
• Accurate review of time records and payroll deductions.
• Experience handling AR/AP and vendor payments is required.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and support month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll on a weekly or biweekly basis.
• Review and audit employee time records for accuracy.
• Maintain payroll records, deductions, tax elections, and garnishments.
• Prepare payroll reports and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
• Generate and distribute client invoices and account statements.
• Record incoming payments and maintain accounts receivable records.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.

Key Responsibilities
