Job summary

Neighborly, headquartered in Irving, Texas, seeks a General Accounting Manager to lead monthly closes, reconciliations and GAAP compliance across brands and entities. You will manage a team, ensure accurate reporting, and drive process improvements with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and strong internal controls. This role is based in our Irving HQ with competitive pay and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of corporate accounting and/or auditing/assurance experience.
• Minimum three years in a leadership role.
• CPA license preferred.
• Public company/SOX experience preferred.
• Experience with large, automated accounting systems (MS Dynamics 365) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and demonstrate understanding of general accounting systems, GAAP.
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes for assigned brands/entities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure full support.
• Manage monthly closing activities per checklist and controls.
• Review and approve monthly brand operating P&Ls with commentary on variances.
• Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to meet department goals.
• Monitor and analyze direct reports to improve procedures and efficiency.
