Job description

As a Generac Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of Generac power generation systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and satisfaction of customers by diagnosing, repairing, and servicing Generac generators and related equipment. This position requires a thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. You will work both independently and as part of a team to complete installations, perform routine maintenance, and respond to emergency service calls. Ultimately, your work will help maintain uninterrupted power supply solutions that are vital to the daily operations of our clients throughout the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in electrical or mechanical repair, preferably with generator systems or similar equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Generac Certified Technician or equivalent.
  • Experience working with diesel and natural gas-powered generators.
  • EPA certification for handling refrigerants and fuel systems.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
  • Prior experience in customer service or field service roles.
