Job summary

Bayer is seeking a motivated co-op to support the development and optimization of gene expression workflows. Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Plant Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience with molecular biology laboratory techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, or sample quality assessment.
• Interest in transcriptomics, gene expression analysis, and genomics technologies.
• Strong attention to detail and laboratory documentation skills.
• Ability to analyze data and communicate results effectively.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated co‑op to support the development and optimization of gene expression workflows, including innovative laboratory methods to improve throughput, data quality, and operational scalability. The successful candidate will work closely with molecular biologists and genomics scientists to evaluate and optimize protocols that support downstream gene expression analyses. This role offers hands‑on experience with a broad range of molecular biology techniques and exposure to modern transcriptomics technologies.

Who You Are

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $22.75 to $47.75. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits may include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc (if relevant). This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
