HP Enterprise AI & Machine Learning is seeking a Principal Data Scientist focused on Generative AI to lead GenAI projects across cloud and edge deployments. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to scope, prototype, and deploy scalable models that drive real business value. This is not a purely research role.

You will guide teams, mentor staff, and ensure models meet performance, scalability, and compliance requirements while communicating insights to stakeholders with clarity.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in AI with extensive Generative AI experience.
• Proven experience with large language models, multi-modal models, prompt engineering, and RAG.
• Strong programming skills in Python and cloud-native ML tooling.

Responsibilities

• Leads organization-wide teams of data science professionals on complex GenAI projects.
• Develops monitoring metrics to reflect real-world model performance and guides future model direction.
• Manages relationships with senior business partners to drive data-driven innovation.
