Job summary

Amazon Annapurna Labs is seeking a software engineer to help build AI agents and tools for Neuron, AWS's ML silicon. You will work with a team in NYC to accelerate GenAI adoption, port ML workloads, and design scalable software that improves performance, durability and cost.

The role emphasizes hands-on development and collaboration across multiple teams. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in software development, strong OO design, and experience in Generative AI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant, broad engineering experience.
• Hands-on technical experience in the Generative AI space.
• Knowledge of SDLC best practices and code reviews, source control, testing and operations.
• Experience in ML compilers, production coding agents, GenAI model architecture, model training, or neural network optimization.

Responsibilities

• Research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers.
• Deliver on goals to improve the time and effort it takes to port and optimize ML workloads on Neuron.
• Build and operate agentic evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and feedback loops for AI agents.
• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software to transform service performance and security.
• Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products.
• Potentially contribute intellectual property through patents.
