Job summary

Socket.dev's Corporate Services Security team seeks a Security Engineer to protect applications, infrastructure, and data across FGBS and CCR. You will perform design and security reviews, threat modeling, and secure coding reviews in Java, Python, and JavaScript, while collaborating with developers to embed security from the start of the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, and security review practices.
• Experience with identity management, cryptography, and software development across teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence security decisions with data.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and security reviews to assess risk and drive remediation with the service teams.
• Lead threat modeling activities and secure code reviews for Java, Python and JavaScript.
• Develop security automation tools and integrate security tooling into development workflows.
• Provide security training and guidance to internal development teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to promote security across the company.
• Independently solve complex security problems requiring novel approaches.
